HEADLINES & What's Going On...
DATES TO REMEMBER:
August 8 - Community Prayer Walk.
August 8-15 - Herriman Chapel Camp.
YOUTH RETURN FROM CAMP:
Our campers from Harmony Hill Youth Camp will return today. Let’s keep them in our prayers, not only for safety on the way home, but for continued growth spiritually and for growing friendships with other Christian youth. Thanks for your prayerful concern!
PLEASE JOIN US!
One week from today, on Sunday evening, August 8, we are planning our Community Prayer Walk. We will have a short study on prayer, and then, just as the disciples were sent out two by two, we will go out walking and praying. We will have short routes and longer routes as well as driving routes so that everyone can participate. Our plan is to pray a special blessing over our schools as well, since school will be starting soon. Mark your calendar, grab your walking shoes and join us!
HERRIMAN CHAPEL CAMP:
Let’s join our sister churches of the area in this joint effort for spiritual growth. Herriman Chapel Camp runs Sunday to Sunday, August 8-15. There will be services at 10:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. each day, as well as children’s services at the 10:30 hour, and a “harmony hour” just before the evening service. The camp is located at the Herriman Chapel Church grounds, east on Highway 54 to Highway 39, then south one and one half miles. See you at camp!
PLEASE NOTE:
If you would like to make a donation to the Herriman Chapel Camp, please mark your donation clearly, and drop it in the offering. We will collect all the donations and write one check to Herriman Chapel Camp. Thanks!
BOOK FRENZY:
We have been given a load of books, and we want to share them with you! Please check out the books on the table in the foyer. The books are first come, first served, so have at it! The books are FREE!
YOU ARE INVITED:
Mr. and Mrs. Michael Richardson and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hubbard request the honour of your presence at the marriage of their children, Rachel Lorraine and Christopher Andrew on Saturday, August 7, at 2:00 p.m. here at the church. Please also join us for the reception immediately following at the El Dorado Springs First Baptist Church Family Life Center.
THANK YOU:
Thank you to all the heroes who helped at VBS: teachers, group leaders, bus drivers, Water Woman, Maintenance Mac, Pizza Man, registration ladies, media techs, cookie makers, those who served at the closing rally, and especially all who prayed. It was a really fun week and everyone of you are heroes to me! Ronda Bland
