Where do I go?
We’re at the south end of Park Street in El Dorado Springs, MO. Directions from Google Maps. When you arrive, just follow signs to the Main Entrance.
What do I wear?
Casual clothes are fine. Some of us show up in jeans and t-shirts; others wear a suit and tie or nice dress every week. And of course there’s everything in between. Come as you are, and know you’ll be welcome!
What are the services like?
Our Sunday morning services have identical teaching times, but the music style is different.
The 8:30AM service has a blended traditional/contemporary approach to the music. You’ll sing hymns, modern worship songs, and southern gospel classics, led by the worship team and orchestra.
The 10:45AM service has a more contemporary sound. You’ll sing modern worship songs, and some classic hymns done with updated styling. But some weeks there’s an acoustic approach that’s very simple.
We receive offerings as a part of our worship. As a guest, please do not feel obligated to give. Giving here is always done worshipfully and willingly, and never under compulsion.
Then of course, an essential part of our worship is hearing a message from God’s Word. We listen and are changed.
Wednesday evenings at 7:00PM we offer Life Groups with various themes and focuses for adults.
What do you offer for my kids?
You are always welcome to have your kids be with you in the worship services. But we know that sometimes kids struggle to sit still for a long time; and even if they do, they can find it difficult to learn from God’s Word at an adult level. So our children’s ministry team is ready and eager to host your children!
We have a staffed nursery for all Sunday morning services and Wednesday evening programs. We also have kids’ Sunday School classes Sundays at 9:45AM. We offer Kids’ Church and Junior Kids’ Church during the 10:45AM service. Our trained volunteers will care for your children, keep them safe, and teach them stories and truths from God’s Word. You can check them in at the Kids’ Welcome Desk, and our volunteers will take it from there. You’ll receive a checkout tag to use to claim them at the end of the service.
Nursing mothers and parents of infants and toddlers will appreciate the nursery, and the cry room with changing table, rocking chairs, and a more private nursing mom’s place. TV monitors let you watch the service so you’re not missing things when your little one needs attention!
Wednesday evenings, we offer Kids’ Clubs for all ages. Bus transportation and a free supper for kids and teens are available on Wednesdays during the school year - call the church office at 417-876-2200 to arrange a pickup.
What about my teenagers?
We encourage teens to worship with us in one of the main Sunday morning worship services. We offer youth Sunday School at 9:45AM on Sundays.
Our main youth program is on Wednesday nights at 7:00PM.
During the school year, kids and teens can come for a free supper at 6:30 in the Family Life Center (bus transportation is available - call the church office to arrange a pickup). Then Wednesday Night Life youth groups (6th-12th grades) start at 7:00PM in the main Worship Center. After games and worship music, 6th-8th-graders go to the El Dorado Christian School gym (on the east side of the same block the church building is on) for open gym time and teaching from God’s Word; while 9th-12th grade students have a message from God’s Word and then split to small groups for discussion, fun, and sometimes snacks! We finish at 8:15 and bring everyone back to the church lobby.
During the summer months, Summer Wednesday Nights features a changing lineup of activities for students. We start at 7:00 in the Family Life Center every week, and go from there.
